The scratching tree

While walking through some fields between Keswick and Portincoe in the Lake District we saw some sheep in the distance. They almost seemed to be queuing. We got closer and they were indeed queuing to do this:

The sheep were queuing for to have a good scratch against the tree.

He was calmly monitoring the situation.

Very random and quite entertaining. Walking back to Keswick a few hours later, the sheep were doing something else and the rooster nowhere to be seen.

These pics were taken with a camera, but then instagramed on iphone.
